At the time of the release, my polish fund was depleted and I treasured my sleep too much to get up at Oh-Dark-Thirty to order one bottle of polish. It just wasn’t meant to be. I was content to see the swatches on the other polish blogs or watch eBay explode in a ridiculous bidding war for a bottle of polish (Shame on you eBay sellers for profiting from someone else’s hard work.).
Another mix up occurred when two bottles of the “Puke” were accidentally mailed to my good friend Rosemary instead of just the one she ordered. Rosemary contacted Maria of Cult Nails fame and informed her the mistake. Maria did the unexpected and told Rosemary to keep the polish and pay it forward to someone who might have missed out.
Fast forward to December. I am participating in a Secret Santa exchange with my online polish group. 2011 had been a rough year for me and my family and the anticipation of receiving my Secret Santa gift in the mail was one of the few things that kept me going this holiday season.
You can imagine my excitement the day the package finally arrived. As it turns out my Secret Santa was Rosemary Wood. The package was packed so nicely and the handmade card told me to open the red and green box first. Packed inside the red and green ornament that doubled as a box was a Cult Nails polish burrito with a tiny Cult Nails sticker that said Unicorn Puke.
I finally broke down recently and applied the Unicorn Puke to my nails. I won’t bore you with all the details of how smooth application was and how much I loved this polish (duh!). Let’s get right to the pictures…
