Allow me to introduce Stormy Skies from the nail polish collection, Sea’s the Day. The Sea’s the Day collection was created by my uber talented friend Pam. Pam is the owner/author of Girly Bits. Pam made Stormy Skies and five other polishes from scratch and I was lucky enough to procure all six colors!
I am partial to the Sea’s the Day collection because I played a small part in the creation. I named Stormy Skies and I played a small part in the inspiration for another of the polishes in this collection. When I saw Pam’s first swatches of this polish it reminded me of the sky at dusk just as a storm was rolling in, thus Stormy Skies was born. The tiny blue/green glitter shimmers against the slate blue polish like a thousand little stars.
I was so excited about finally getting these polishes in the mail that I did a pretty bad job of applying Stormy Skies to my nails. I applied three coats to my nails as this is a fairly sheer polish. If you look really closely you can still see a little visible nail line. I applied a topcoat because I wanted to wear it for a little while.
Since announcing the availability of her new polish collection, Sea’s the Day, Pam has been extremely busy making polish. I have asked Pam to join us for a little Q&A when things settle down for her. In the meantime I will be sharing with you the other polishes in this collection. Tomorrow we will take a look at my “brain child,” Sailor’s Delight.
Love it! Really want to see a glitter sammy with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shannon. It looks great on you!! I looove the shimmer. I should note that I have reformulated both Stormy Skies and Denim Diva to be more opaque. I was afraid of losing the sparkle in SS, but I go it! Thanks for posting this ♥♥
ReplyDeleteYou played a very LARGE and important part in the inspiration of Sailor's Delight, and I am very grateful for it.
That is a really pretty color!
