Dazzle Me!

100_1207

Today’s polish from the Sea’s the Day collection is Razzle Dazzle.  This polish twinkles in every direction.  As soon as I put it on my nails I was sad that I only had one bottle.  This a very festive polish, and a great alternative to traditional red for the holidays.

Razzle Dazzle is a raspberry colored base filled with multi colored holo glitter in deep pink, fuchsia, blue and copper.  Like Purple Potion, it took three coats to get the kind of coverage I prefer on my nails.  Razzle Dazzle was also so packed with glitter that it was a bit rough to the touch once dry.   The roughness wasn’t anything a couple coats of a topcoat couldn’t fix.

The micro glitter is a little tough to remove.  Difficult removal is the downside of all glitter polishes.  I highly recommend soaking this and Purple Potion off using the foil method.  I have found that to remove all the residual glitter from your nails and nail beds after soaking your nails is to use a sugar scrub.  Work the scrub into your cuticles and nail beds, allow the scrub to dry on your hands then rinse with warm water.  Since sugar scrubs usually contain some sort of carrier oil, like Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Coconut Oil it is great for the cuticles as well as softening your hands.  The added bonus is the excess glitter washes away too.

Rumor has it that these polishes might be offered on a popular online polish store in the future.  Would you purchase them?  Have you tried any of these polishes?  I would love to know what you think of this collection thus far.
