Halloween Nail Art: Dusk

There is no way I could let another day go by without sporting some frightful art on my nails in homage to the upcoming All Hallows Eve.  This water marble manicure turned out spooktacular!

night 5

I started with a base coat of Pure Ice Hot Tamale, a shimmery deep orange.  I then alternated drops of Hot Tamale with Pure Ice No Means No, a deep shimmery purple onto the room temperature distilled water in a shot glass.

night 2

I swirled the paint around on the water using a bamboo skewer until I got a design I liked.  Finally I dipped my nails into the paint and water.  I removed my finger from the glass after cleaning away the excess paint.

night1

The result was a subtle swirl that looked almost like a sunset.  In keeping with the dusk and Halloween theme that was evolving on my nails I decided to add a few bat stickers from the Kiss Halloween nail stickers I had on hand. And finally I topped it all off with a sparkly coat of Maybelline Snow Drift.

night 3
Boo-tiful!
